Hi, I’m Minda!

More than a million entrepreneurs and business leaders read my column The Laid-Back Leader every month at Inc. magazine. I’ve inspired audiences as large as 3,000 or as small as a boardroom.
In 20 years as an Inc. contributor, I’ve interviewed hundreds of experts and read thousands of studies, learning how to be more productive, more effective, build better relationships, and find happiness at work. Mostly, I wanted to learn those things for myself! The tools I give audiences are both science-backed and field-tested.
I am a contributing editor at Inc., and a contributor to CNBC.com, Business Insider, and CIO.com, among many others. I’m a past president of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and a board member at National Speakers Association Northwest. I live in Snohomish County, Washington.

My newest book, Career Self-Care: Find Your Happiness, Success, and Fulfillment at Work, grew out of my Inc. column. It’s centered on the counterintuitive truth that taking care of your own true needs is the path to a successful career–and a happy life. Career Self-Care is available from New World Library and wherever books are sold.
